A lot's happened, and I've been kinda quiet. It was kinda pointed out to me by a friend; it's true, I don't really say 'Hi' proactively as much as I should. I have a bad habit of not trying to say hi to friends unless they're related to something I'm doing at the moment.
Which, in the past month or so, has been a lot of Phantasy Star Universe >.>; It's reached the level of WoW for me, though I've cut back a lot in the past...week or so.
Mainly, because of college. I started back in the Fall, and it hasn't really been going great. I went in for Advertising Design, and though the semester and a half I have come to see that it's really not for me. Art classes are very, very time consuming. It's fun to draw in the class most of the time, but it's easy to get frustrated as well. I know it's really important to build foundations in still life, but honestly I'd love to draw some more landscapes.
I'm thinking of moving to an English major, but I'm still pretty unsure.
But, at least, Spring Break. Starts after I leave on March 13th. Which, is of course when Resident Evil 5 drops. And my birthday. It's paid for, and it'll be a good day.
Then, DO, or Digital Overload. [link] (They're already planning for 2010)
Last time I mentioned it, it was 2007. I went again in March 2008. Again, Sparkle Motion (my Gears of War team and I) competed, and won (again). We got a pretty plastic-cast trophy each.
On rolls DO 2009. Again, we made our way to Rhode Island, and competed again. I don't mean to sound rude, or un-respectful to the other teams, but it honestly seemed easier to win this year then the last two times.
If you've played Gears of War (2, in this case), you know how it works; you win rounds to win matches. The tournament rounds were best of 3 matches. We lost 2 game rounds, and all matches. It really felt closer last year, though I can't really remember.
Anywho, this year we got some neat medals (very Celtic in a way, actually), and posters signed by the game's lead developers, including Dude Huge himself. Pretty wild (though, I have to admit, I can't read most of the signatures, save Dr. Mike, whoever that is o.o).
In any case, quite a bit more has happened, but honestly this feels like rambling. So, I just want to end with hello's for now, to any that read them. I love hearing from you guys.
